Memorial Sonja
Sonja jij was de liefde en vreugde
Sonja jij waakte over het vrouwtje
Sonja verdriet kende jij in je jeugd
Sonja bij jou liep zij geen blauwtje
Sonja jij was voor ons altijd daar
Sonja je liep weg als je kreunde
Sonja ons leven is door elkaar
Sonja jij was`t op wie wij steunde
Sonja in ons blijf je nu altijd leven
Sonja wij lopen niet door de steeg
Sonja moest jij nu al je leven geven
Sonja jou plaats aan de tafel is leeg
Sonja lieve meid en maatje van ons
rust in vrede je hebt het verdient
vrouwtje en baasje.
In loving memory of my dear Princess(?!-March,19/2004)...
My gorgeous Princess passed away.Please light a candle and say a prayer for her,to rest in peace.When I first found her,she was dumped by her former owner and she was operated by skin cancer(according to my vets)-she had a huge surgery sign half of her back.
I believed in her chances to survive and to enjoi a better life and I hope she will live few more years,even if she was old enough and weaked.
She was a sad dog and in her eyes anyone could "read" sufference and disappointment ..I didn't had the chance to teach her to play with dog toys,I didn't had the chance to say enough "I love you" to her and to make her feel as special as I would want...
Princess was very distant with others dogs and not friendly with my cats,but always sleep in my bed and kissed me for goodnight.
She died a little after I leaved her to feed some doggies from street and a worker from shelter called me to come back ,because something happened with Princess...
At least she didn't suffered while she allowed me to take care of her ...now,she is probably near my Printz ,away from misery and sufference.
When neither money,veterinary care or good conditions offered,neither love and care for our animals is enough to keep a dear furry friend alive...let's remember we are so vulnerable and so lonely...so powerless..but we never learn ,until it's too late!
